Highland Glen Lodges - logo

Sutherland in the Highlands of Scotland is one of the last great European wildernesses. Only 13,000 people live in the largest county in Britain! Highland Glen Lodges are centrally situated in the heart of this beauty.

"The most perfect place we have ever stayed in...."
Francis & Terry

Believe it or not - our lodges are situated in the part of Great Britain with the second lowest annual rainfall to Sussex! Honest!
The prevailing wind comes from the south west and that gives the longest land track for the moist southwesterlies. By the time the weather gets to us most of the water has been squeezed out on Glasgow and Oban!!!
Oban's annual rainfall in 2000 was 152 inches compared to Dornoch at 26 inches. We rest our case!
If the wind's from the west - don't go west! As we say...
